First Time to Cut Your Own Tree?
1. One of our friendly greeters will meet you in front of the barn and answer any questions you may have.
2. If you choose to cut your own tree, our greeter will hand you a saw so you can head out to the field.
3. Take your time choosing your special Christmas tree!
4. Use the saw to cut down your tree. Always cut away from you. Be sure to cut the trunk as low to the ground as possible. It is important to allow enough trunk for the tree stand to hold the tree. Do not cut the bottom limbs off of your tree because this can ruin the entire shape of the tree.
5. Drag your tree back to the measuring pole in front of the barn.
6. Once there, your tree will be measured, shook, and baled. After your tree has been measured, you will be given a portion of the tree claim tag to take to the cashier inside the barn.
7. Take the tree claim tag to the cashier where it will be marked paid and returned to you. Your tree will be waiting in the claim area. You must turn in your tree claim tag to pick up your tree.
8. Twine is available for tying your tree onto your vehicle. Just let us know if you want your tree on top or inside and we will take care of it for you.
9. After getting your tree home, always keep water in your tree stand! A freshly cut tree can drink as much as a gallon of water per day. Nothing special needs to be done to the tree or water, additives are just a myth.
10. Have a Merry Christmas!!
Sorry for the inconvenience, but we only accept Cash and Checks! We are NOT able to accept debit or credit cards.
Warning: Please be aware we are a working farm, and there are many hazards such as holes, stumps, and other obstacles that can trip you.
